Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most popular and easily accessible game reserve in Uganda. Situated on the floor of the Albertine rift overlooking the mysterious Mountains of the moon (The Rwenzoris) in South-western Uganda, the park covers 2000 square KM and includes a remarkable variety of echo systems from semi-deciduous Tropical to green meadows, savannah, crater lakes and swamps. A total of 95 mammal species have been recorded here, the highest for any Ugandan National Park. It is also home to the most famous tree-climbing lions along the Ishasha Sector, the Ugandan Kob, and other Antelopes species, as well as Elephants, Bufallos, Hippos, Buboons, and elusive primates in the scenic Kyambura gorge. An impressive 547 confirmed bird species have been recorded in Queen Elizabeth. This is one of the highest totals in the World and is truly remarkable for such a relatively small reserves. In addition to all these fascinating game viewing and birding; a relaxing boat trip along the Kazinga Channel will give you a good time.
Day 1: Arrival
On your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed/picked up by your guide for transfer to your hotel in Kampala. On this day you will be briefed about your whole tour. Relax at your hotel with an option to take a walk to the botanical gardens or even catch a sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria.
Day 2: Fly to Kasese and Travel to Kibale Forest.
After breakfast, drive to Entebbe Airport to catch your flight to Kasese.Then drive to Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of the world. The forest is home to 13 primate speceis including the chimpanzee, blue monkeys, nocturnal portal, bush babies, and so on. It is also home to several species of butterflies. In the evening, you have a walk in the Bigodi wetlands giving you a opportunity to see several bird and primate species.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking
Wake up early for breakfast and then travel to Kyanyanchu Park head quarters where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking. You then enter the tropical rainforest as you search for man’s closest relatives; the chimpanzee. Having encountered them, enjoy a full hour observing their behavior and then return to your lodge to relax.

Day 4: Travel To Queen Elizabeth National park
Having had breakfast at leisure, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National park. After lunch, you will have a boat trip on the Kazinga channel. This is the water stream that joins lakes Edward and George and is said to have the largest concentration of hippos in the world. It is also known as the “center of ecology” due to many animals and bird species recorded on its banks. Other animals to see include; crocodiles, monitor lizards. We then check into our lodge to relax and retreat from the day’s activities.

Day 5: Travel to Bwindi Via Ishasha
Wakeup for breakfast, morning game drive around the Kasenyi sector and then travel to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. You travel via Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth park and famous for rare tree climbing lions. These cats tend to climb fig trees so as to escape the mid day sun. Other game to lookout for includes; elephants, topi, waterbucks, leopards, hippos and so on. Continue to Bwindi and check in your lodge in Buhoma or Ruhija depending on which gorilla permit we shall have.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking
After a mighty breakfast prepared by your accommodation, we report at the gorilla tracking starting point for a short briefing. You then enter the Impenetrable forest with your packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 1 to 6 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to interact with gorillas and then return to your accommodation. In the evening, you have an option to visit a Batwa community or have a village walk or enjoy a cultural performance at your lodge from the locals.
Day 7: Fly to Entebbe and then Catch your flight back home
Have breakfast and then travel to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip to catch your flight to Entebbe. From there, catch your flight back home hence end of safari.
